Born and raised in Connecticut, I've always sought out creative avenues and explored my artistic interests. Every since I can remember I've been interested in art but it wasn't until 6th grade when I touched clay for the first time. Ever since then, I was hooked! Throughout high school, I remained enthusiastic about participating in art classes, clubs, and other creative endeavors. However, it wasn't until attending Southern Connecticut State University that I truly immersed myself in the world of ceramics.
After graduating with my bachelor's degree in Ceramics and minor in Sociology, I continued to expand my body of work at Wet Clay Works studio in downtown New Haven, CT. With a spot at the studio, I was eager to start production and enter local festivals and events to sell the work I deemed worthy.
"Ceramic artist Carlo Chinatti graduated from Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) with a degree in Studio Art concentration in ceramics and a minor in sociology. His booth at the fest featured some of his ceramic art in mug and bowl form. Beside each other, they peeked out at attendees in a vibrant arrangement of blues and browns. When I wasn't in the studio I was helping ease the load of local administrators of Beman Middle school and Portland's middle school/high school in Connecticut as a substitute teacher.
In January 2023, I moved to Miami, and was hired as a teacher's assistant at Killian Oaks Academy in South Miami. Later in early '24, I relocated to Fort Lauderdale. Now, I teach pottery courses on the weekends at Gasper Arts Center and work during the week as a contractor hand for a remodeling company.
